New buddy for Brendan!

As we all know, Gigi is very partial to Cody. My parents went to pick the boys up from my in-laws and Cody was excited, but Brendan not so. After a warm up period, my parents packed the boys up to head to their condo. At the condo, the toys, new clothes and hats waited. Brendan is a major hat kid. He loved his! He decided to share it with Granddad, cementing the buddy connection. I got there a little after 6 and had to build one of the new LEGO sets my mom bought Cody. Cody was playing with all the toys he hadn't seen since August. Brendan was gorging himself on Fruit Loops (I guess this means I should by some, but I had no idea he'd like them!) We got around, went to dinner at JBs Fish Camp and Cody made friends with 2 guys at the table next to us. After dinner he and Gigi went out and played on the dock. We got back to the condo, hung out long enough for me to build the other LEGO set and then I had to round the boys up and get them home. Brendan is terrified of the elevator and doesn't like the open railings on the 4th floor. Today I'm sure will be a crazy day for them, it is still cool, so the beach may be out when I get there tonight.

GiGi and grandad have arrived!

There I am sure will be lots more posts through the week as Cody's birthday party is this weekend. GiGi is on her way right now to pick up the 2 little entertainers and I'm sure Cody will be going nuts when he sees her. We will see how Brendan reacts!

Why? Why? Why? Car!

Cody is learning a lot in school. He can now properly say CAR! He is also asking Why? to everything.

So back to the BIG accomplishment CAR! His teacher Mrs Griffin has taught him to put his finger and hold down his tongue to make C or K sounds. He is learning from doing that to not push his tongue out! I can't wait to see what he learns next week!

The boys and I went to the store and ran into our now retired real estate agent last night, Cody and Brendan played shy. On our way out we ran into Laure, Jenifer and Hailey. We chatted for a bit, but Cody wanted to run and in a parking lot he was scaring me. Brendan just flirted with Hailey who is 5 months younger than he is.

We also indulged in some dark chocolate last night and I really wish I could have gotten a picture of Brendan with the chocolate mouth, but well, I don't need them to ruin my carpet or furniture any worse! However, I think the sugar proved to be too much for Cody, he went crazy! He was screeching and jumping and going nuts! All this from 2 little Dove dark chocolate hearts! I'm hoping tonight is a little more calm, we have a lot to do and I want to be in bed early for my race tomorrow. Poor Cody really wants to go race, but it is supposed to be 33 and I'll be running my race for an hour and no one is there to watch him. I know he love, love, loves going to my races and participating in the kids' runs, but it requires someone to go with to watch him plus the fun run tomorrow morning for the kids is 1 mile, a bit much for my cute little runner boy! Maybe he can go to Eye of the Dragon with me, they will have a 1/4 mile. Well, I think that is it for now. I will try and get some pics up of the kiddos this weekend!

Another evening with the kids

The boys and I went to Sueann's last night for a candle party. I picked them up from their Nana and Papa's and we headed out to their farm, Cody was excited! Any time I hit a red light Cody was in the back yelling Gooooooooo! We pull into the farm and I open Cody's door and he's immediately looking around and asked No Doggies? I let him know they were inside. Then he was looking for the horses, who were in the barn eating. We get into the house and I took him back to Sueann's room where all the boys were piled on the bed watching cartoons. Brendan wandered back and forth between both, coming into me where I was handing him strawberries and cantalope and then back to see what the big boys were doing. When Cody realized there was fruit in the kitchen, he came in asking for some too. The boys had fun and played, watched cartoons and then we headed home. The whole way home Cody is BEGGING me to stop at the store to get Batty Yegos (translation: Batman LEGOS.) Poor kid does not understand they have been discontinued.

We got home and got Brendan to bed. I went on to bed, leaving Cody awake. Um yeah, why we have an aquarium in their room I'll never know. Cody dumped all the fish food into the tank! Kevin is going to clean it out tomorrow. Gotta love kids!

Where to start!

OK, so this blog originally was put up to release pictures of the Code man to friends and family. Now, it is to release those goofy little things my adorably mischievous little boys get up to!

So yesterday was one of those days, I ended my day at our office in Edgewater so I was home early. I picked up the boys and headed to the gym. Cody was all excited to go to the gym because they have a room full of toys! We (Sueann and I) get to the gym, get the boys signed into the childcare and do our thing. When we were done Cody is complaining loudly he wants to eat! Mind you, they had dinner before I picked them up, with their nana and papa. I have to stop and grab Kevin dinner (he didn't go to work) so I grabbed a kid's meal for the 2 boys to split. Both dug right in like starving animals and started devouring the food. I noticed all of a sudden that the chewing noises from the back seat had stopped. I turn on the light in the car and both boys are out! I was very amused however at Brendan and his falling asleep in the middle of a french fry. When I pulled into the drive, the french fry had fallen completely out of the mouth and on to his chest. I being the great mom I am, grabbed the cell and snapped the photo!
I'm sure when he's 15 and the remnants of the long, lost blog of his childhood is dug up by some girlfriend googling his name, he will hate me for this picture!

Of course, the sleeping didn't last once I got them in the house, they had recharged their mischief reserves and promptly worked at depleting all naughtiness before bed. Cody talked to his GiGi, about what, I have no idea. He wanted his privacy so he went to his room and shut the door. When he was done, it was feeding cake to the dog and his brother, jumping on the furniture, using my stability ball as a bowling ball and Brendan was the pin, etc. I was ready for bed once I got Brendan down! Cody stayed up with his daddy.
