We have a tooth! Cody's first tooth has just broken the gum line. It is the bottom front tooth on his right. You can only see the top of it - but I'm sure it will be up all the way soon! Hopefully, we'll get a little break from the fussies before the next one pushes its way through.

Cody and I spent the morning together, then off to Nana's so I could get some housework done. I was so happy to see him when I picked him up - after being away his little face lights up so big when he sees me (or his daddy!)

Cody is 7 months old today! He is on the go as always! He knows when I am being silly and shows it by laughing at me.

We had an action packed day! We went shopping and had Cody's 7 month pictures taken and then off to Clancy's for dinner, where he successfully pulled my margarita into my lap. However, all in all it was a nice day!

Wow...let me tell you, I have gotten a taste of what life is going to be like with Cody when he gets older, and I am exhausted! He was everywhere today! It seems as soon as he learned to crawl, he decided he must explore EVERYTHING. It was funny though, he stopped when his hands hit the tile going into the dining room and he seemed to sit and contemplate it before finally wandering on to it. He also got into the DVDs. He does not want to be still at ALL anymore!

Cody can pull himself up to standing by himself on the couch, I love when he does it, because he laughs hysterically.

Cody is crawling!! He's all over the place. I guess we will be buying baby gates now! He develops so quick it seems - just yesterday he was tiny, red and wrinkly!

Cody sat up by himself today!! He's also doing a push-up stance with his rear in the air. Daddy said he slept until 10 am this morning. He's such a happy baby today, although he did give me the pouty lip!

Cody and I had a good night, he played and laughed all evening. He stayed up until 10 pm and went down with NO! fight!

Cody was very fussy tonight - his gums are swollen again. I wish his teeth would just come in already!

Cody crawled - well OK - like 6 inches - but more than just moving 1 knee! He moved both knees twice! He for some reason was under a chair. We ran errands and took a walk through the neighborhood. We played a lot too. His teeth are bothering him more and more though.

Way behind!

I am way behind on this, but have decided I am going to go back and do back postings from my journal. All from after Cody was born! He's 6 months 2 weeks and 4 days old today and getting cuter everyday!
He's doing so much now, and is a very active little boy. He loves laughing! I will post more later, but I just wanted to get this on here and let everyone know, I may have majorly slacked, but...I will update this and it is not dead!

My little giggle box

Cody had the giggles today again, I picked him up from his Nana's and he was all happy! We got home and played together for a few minutes before I realized I should change out of my work clothes, my little drool monkey was chewing on me! We watched a cartoon together and he played with his toys while I ate dinner. He even took a short nap! Then Cody got his dinner, Chicken and Vegetables with applesauce for dessert. Then, his favorite time of the day! Bath time! He was really tired and didn't feel like playing too much, so he got out quicker than normal and threw his usual fit when I had to put his jammies on. Then off to the playpin while I took a quick shower. Then we played for a little bit before I gave him his bottle then put him down to bed. One thing I noticed today, I don't know if it was because he seemed so tired, but he didn't want to stand that much, but he sure was up on his hands and knees a lot...rocking back and forth.

Cody's first Easter!! He took the cutest pictures, I sent them to his grandmother Taylor. He started holding his own hands - and now loves looking in the mirror. He had a tough night, very fussy, unless I am holding him.

Cody had his Easter pictures taken today, infant acne, scratches and all, but I really want to document his growth. Today was also his first time in Orlando.

Cody had his first visit to a restaurant today - Applebees, with Sueann, Tyler, Austin and Riley. He checked everything out - ate a little bit, then went to sleep (which is what he is doing now.) He went to sleep a little earlier today at 11:30 instead of 12:30 so let's hope this means he is on his way to sleeping through the night. Unfortunately, I'm on his old schedule - it's 12:40 am and I am wide awake.

Today went much better, he must be feeling better. He's been up for 2 1/2 hours which I think is his longest stretch. Unfortunately, he is a night owl. I think he senses his daddy coming home so he wakes up. I am going to have to get him on a schedule soon.

It's been a tough night, Cody has been fussy tonight, but a warm bath calmed him down. He's now lying quietly in his bassinett staring at the ceiling. He has spent time with daddy, he's always calm with him during their bonding time. He's falling asleep so I should turn off the light.

Cody found his thumb today and looked so cute sucking it. I wish I could have gotten a picture, but he was sleeping on my chest. Right now he's making funny noises and sucking on his paci. He enjoyed his bath today - now I know why he would get so fidgety in my tummy when I took a bath - he was enjoying it!

Cody and I went to the mall today, everyone had to say how cute he was, which I agree of course! He's also now following my movements with his eyes. He's still a night owl; which I hope gets better before I go to work.

We had our first pee-pee incident today. Cody got himself in the face and head, so he had a bath (which he loved.) Other than that, today was uneventful for his 2 week birthday.

Cody had his weight check today and he's gained! He now weighs 8 pounds 6 1/2 ounces. Up from the 7 pounds 13 ounces last week, but now above his birth weight of 8 pounds 2 ounces. He peed on the table again at the doctor's office. I had to laugh. I don't think he likes going to the doctor. He also had his first trip to the mall, strangers kept telling me how cute he is. Well, he's getting ancy, I guess I should feed him now.

Kevin went back to work today and Cody seems to have noticed. He also found his hand today. He held it out and opened and closed it and was completely transfixed. He would move it and follow it with his eyes - maybe a coincidence - or not? We go to the dr. tomorrow so we'll have a weight update! Also, Cody loved his first bath today!

Cody was very alert today - about 6 hours or so of very bright-eyed observing. We also went for our first walk with the stroller. He seemed to be taking everything in. Hopefully, we'll get to the this a lot until I have to go back to work - which I DO NOT want to do.

Not a lot of news today, Cody's umbilical cord stump fell off, now we have to wait for it to completely dry out so we can give him his first bath! He's also lifting his head more!

Cody is quietly laying in his bassinett. He's been very alert today and will mimic faces you make, it's too cute. He's also making new noises. Well he's starting to get fussy---

1 week old!

Cody is sleeping and I'm sitting in bed watching him. He didn't sleep well today so maybe he will tonigh. He is a week old today and I don't remember what our lives were like without him in it. We had visitor's today; Chad, Teresa and their 2 year old Heather. Well, he is stirring so I must tend to my little cutie!

My little man is sleeping quietly on daddy's chest. My parents left this morning and we've made it through our first day alone with Cody. The little guy has been very good and I got the longest stretch of sleep I've had since February.

We are home! Little man in tow...now the reality has hit!
